JPG to PDF

Choose pictures, put them in order, then make the PDF.

Processed on your device. No uploads. How?

Your files are read, changed and saved inside this browser tab. Nothing is sent to my server or anyone else, nothing is stored, and the code that does the work comes from this site. These pages never show ads.

Starting the tool… It works inside your browser, so it needs JavaScript. If nothing happens, turn JavaScript on and reload the page.

How Pixel PDF works

How it works

Nothing is uploaded

Most PDF websites send your file to their computers, work on it there and send it back. Pixel PDF does the work inside your own browser instead. The file is read on your device, the new PDF is made on your device, and Download saves it straight from there. Nothing goes to my server, so there is nothing for me, or anyone else, to keep or see.

What does the work

Two open-source libraries do the PDF work: pdf-lib copies pages between PDFs, turns them and builds new ones, and Mozilla's pdf.js (the PDF viewer inside Firefox) draws pages as pictures. They load the first time you use a tool, and after that the page works on its own.

How compress works

Compress redraws each page as a lighter JPG picture at the quality you pick, then builds a new PDF from those pictures. That shrinks scans and photo-heavy PDFs a lot. The catch is that text becomes part of the picture, so it can no longer be selected or searched. If the new file would not be smaller, the tool tells you to keep your original.

Photos and QR codes

Resize photo, the passport sheet and Scan to PDF work on the picture with your browser’s own drawing tools. Resize finds the best JPG quality that fits between the KB limits you set, and saves the size in DPI so a form that checks it sees the right size in cm. The scan look turns the photo grey and pushes the paper to white and the writing to black. QR codes are worked out on the page from what you type, Wi-Fi passwords included, and never sent anywhere.

Limits

Everything happens in your browser's memory, so very big files (over 150 MB in total) are refused, and phones may struggle sooner than computers. PDFs locked with a password have to be unlocked first. Pictures from phones are turned the right way up before they go into a PDF.
