Shaurya Yadav

developer & designer · India

I design and build small, fast websites and web games. Everything on this site is mine: the apps, the pixel art, the logos and the code that runs them.

how_i_work:

  • Design it first: pixel art, logos and the layout on a phone.
  • Build it with React, TypeScript and Cloudflare Workers.
  • Test every change for speed, accessibility and security.
  • Ship it live, then keep making it better.

    [site] · design and code

My home on the web: a pixel street whose sky follows the time in India, with every app on this page living inside it.

    features:

    • React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, rendered to plain HTML at build time, so pages show before any script runs.
    • Runs on Cloudflare Workers with a strict security policy, and contact messages are encrypted before they are stored.
    • Automated tests check accessibility, layouts at 16 screen sizes, speed and security on every change.

    • Photo tools resize to an exact size in cm or pixels and a file size in KB, for exam and job forms.
    • These pages never show ads, even if ads appear elsewhere on the site.

    Pixel Weather

    [app] · design and code

Live weather and a 5-day forecast for any city, drawn as a pixel sky.

    features:

    • Forecasts come from Open-Meteo through my own Cloudflare Worker, so visitors' IP addresses never leave this site.
    • Answers are cached close to the visitor and refreshed in the background, so it opens fast.
    • The sky, clouds and rain change with the weather code, by day and by night.
    stack:ReactCloudflare WorkersOpen-Meteo

    features:

    • Drawn on a 180 × 300 pixel canvas and scaled up so every pixel stays sharp.
    • Physics run 120 times a second in fixed steps, so it plays the same on any screen.
    • Pauses and stops drawing when nobody can see it, to save battery.
    stack:JavaScriptCanvas

    Pixel Doodle

[game] · game design and code

    • Drawings travel as tiny instructions, not pictures, on a 64 × 48 canvas in 16 colours.
