How it works
How the room is made
The whole room is one picture, 192 by 120 pixels, built in code from a few hundred small rectangles. Their colours come from a small stylesheet, which is how the same room can change with the time and the weather without being drawn twice.
What is live
The window shows the real weather outside in Bhadohi, from the same service as Pixel Weather. The clock and the light follow India time, so the room gets dark at night and the cat falls asleep. The calendar counts the days to the next exam on my countdown, and the radio plays notes while I am listening to music on Spotify.
What stays on your device
The lamp, the plant and how many of the 12 things you have found are saved only in your browser. The desk lamp sits on a springy neck, so it wobbles when you tap it.
